Id vote for good machinist/ machining shop!
Sticker shock is alway interesting.I just checked on a reman alternator made by Niehoff and remanned by Wilson for my 1983 IH combine and it was $1204.82 for a Niehoff 80 amp alternator. I had him look twice. ??WHO would buy one?

WOW!!!. Is that what those black alternators cost now ???
My last 1480 still has one on it. I already added my "clean air pipe" modification which may make the old thing last for as many years as I may run it.
I know with the clean air pipe installed, I get atleast 5 years out of a 35 dollar 72 amp Delco 10 SI.
