Is there something catching the hose, do you have the mid mount couplers mounted so you don't have to slide the collar back by hand to couple (ie that you can just grab the male end of the hose and pull them out to disconnect?) It sometimes doesn't take much to make the hose tight enough to uncouple. If the hoses are just hanging they may also touch something and slide far enough to uncouple. The other question is are your female and male couplers the same brand? I have a neighbours V rake that the standard male tips will not work on my loader tractor. They work on my other tractor, or if I use a short hose with a different female coupler inbetween.
