Echunga
im the owner of the crop or rhizo which ever suits
paddock is quite fertile by our standards 48ppm of phosphorus, 1.1% oc alot nitrogen zinc and pottasium. ph is 9.1
Its been cropped 8 out of the 10 years canola has been in the rotation.
Many suggest the continued use of group b hebicides could be having a detrimental effect ie increasing the rhizo.
group herbicdes used in past are ally, logran, broadsrike and clearfield
The crop was brilliant until it reached 4 weeks of age.

ps there is a 2ha strip with no fertilizer and the crop is no worse and rhizo hasnt increased so it seems fertility isnt the problem

next year it seems field may divided into 30 of ryecorn, 30 of wheat and 30 ha of canola and a crop planted in the following year 2011 to see what give best result in lowering rhizo numbers
