I like the faster boot up,more SATs and better firmware for better accuracy, row finder feature etc. The new stored AB lines that show only the lines 2 miles or less away, plus numbers to identify stored lines and the ability to delete unwanted stored lines without hooking to a computer is great.
I agree, trimble support is great, and they make it so easy for the average Joe to do his own updates,I have done the last two myself.. To power the light bar for updates, I have an old 12 V camcorder accessory battery pack with big ni-cad cells, a lighter/accessory socket and charger built in. Also a filtered 120 V to 12 V -15 amp power supply with lighter/accessory socket if the batt pack is in use somewhere else.
The same 04 model easy guide plus that was kind of clunky with the original firmware, became very slick working with last years update, and looks to be really great with this years slick up job. we are not sorry we bought trimble, and would not sell them for what we paid for them.
