I use to lock mine in as well. One day I needed to remove it & the darn lock was frozen & ended up having to cut the lock off with the fire wrench. I started leaving the hitch in the receiver but one day I was in twn & some sob stole it. Now I remove the hitch & stick in behind the seat of the truck. Haven't had one stolen since.
That has the added benifit of not running your shin into it. boy does that feel good. |
