Subject: Brillion Seeders

Parsons Kansas
I'm going to rent a Brillion seeder to seed about 25 acres of alfalfa here in about a month. I have used this seeder a few years ago and was really happy with it. It's a 12 ft model with hydraulic cylinders to pick it up and let it down. Model number SS12 I think. I really didn't get any operating instructions with it just a "hook onto it, this is how you set it and you'll get the hang of it after a while".

The first time I used it I went around the field about 6 times then started planting back and forth. Picking it up each time and turning around and going back. My question is are you supposed to go around and around with this drill and not pick it up, or go back and forth like I done in the past? Maybe it doesnt' make any difference at all but if it does then I want to be doing it correctly. Thanks Darren
