freeze 12 is a good alternative, for systems that had R12 in it and works well. I know on John Deere tractors there is a small screw inside to crank down the expansion valve to tighter tolorances. I usually crank it down about a half a turn if i remember right. This will make it cool with R134A, or freeze 12 much much better
