I received an ad for a restaurant offering a private 12 course meal with pairings for $750/person plus gratuity.
Very little on the menu intrigued me, even before knowing the price.
What would you put together for the ultimate dinner with great friends and/or special guests?
We enjoy a great burger, Chicago dog or pizza with a pitcher of beer as much as anything, but what would you enjoy in a real 12 course night?
Start the evening with cocktails….what is your favorite before dinner drink? Colorado bulldog
Hors d’oeuvres? Smoked bacon wrapped scallops
Appetizers? Candied bacon or bacon wrapped anything. :) this
Salad. French and blue cheese, home made
Soup? French onion
Fish? Pan fried crappie
Poultry? Pheasant
Palate cleanser? Water, I don’t know much about this
Red meat? Rib eye 1 1/4 inch just past rare dry aged of course
Cheeses? Long horn Colby
Dessert? Creme brûlée for sure
Mini dessert? Mint
What drinks would you pair with each course? Don’t really drink anymore
What food would you prefer for each course?
I’m not saying we should do this meal as tonight my supper was a summer sausage sandwich and last night was deer sticks with a Busch. Just wondering what you all would do with a 12 course menu to fill out.
Many nights I only eat one course, usually involves beef lol
