Subject: RE: Apple trees in fence lines

Barry County, MI
some small red and black cherrys in fence lines on one farm here In W Va we had what they called red hearts and black heart that we picked at the burnt house place. They were bigger than these in the fence lines here. but not as big as the tame ones in the local orchards. When we were kids 7or so cousins would pick these cherrys for mothers to can and we always got buckets full big old trees. but they were never as big as the ones grown in orchards here . did anybody else have those kind of cherries 70 years ago on their farms archie
