NW Illinois Stephenson county | The only true rain gauge! Maybe 15-18 years ago we got 17" of rain over night. If I had not had an empty bucket sitting outside I would have found it hard to believe. And then we got 14" over night 3 years later. Both times half the farm under water. 20+ feet deep. My farm was appraised in the early 1990's and was told bottom ground was not discounted as much as it used to be because big equipment could get it planted quickly when it dried out. Then in 1993 my bottom ground flooded 10 times in June. I hope you recover quickly. |
