Subject: RE: The flooding up north this spring

St. Claude, Mb, Canada
Up near the interlake its a nothing done zone. We were in a bad pocket municiple ditches would just start to catch up and then we would get another 2.5-3". Had 40% unseeded as of june 20, been plugging away since, at 85% now. One field that went into barley on june 28th still had frost holding water up until june 23. 2 feet in wet holes disappeared overnight. Crops look ok but very late. Corn and dry beans have terrible stands. Looks good down the row, not so much across. Most of the small grain in the area was floated on. One guy just started seeding last week but he has pretty wet ground.

Edit to add. That june 28 barley is 4" tall already so it may make it with a later than average frost.
