Subject: RE: Implement switch to PF Advantage

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I make a wiring harness for this purpose. It has the 25 pin connector for the Advantage and goes to two branches. One is for power and ground in and the other goes to an implement switch.

We have purchased several sets of switches and brackets from Deere for this purpose. The Deere switch and bracket mounts on the parallel arms with a single bolt. These bolt right on most recent Deere planters. We also have a modified bracket for certain Kinze planters.

Any SPST momentary switch will work but the Deere switch is very handy since it was made for the planter. Whisker switches can also be used.

Many switches can be wired Normally Open or Normally closed. The Deere switch is normally closed in the planting position. The button is pushed and the circuit is opened when the planter is raised. This means that the Advantage needs to be setup in the "Reversed" selection on the setup menu.

All one needs beyond that is an extension to make the connection between the switch and the harness in the tractor. The connector on the wiring harness is a three pole weatherpak. The switch goes between Pins A & B. Pin C is ground and is not used in this application.
