| Interest rate hikes affect investment inflation but I'm having a hard time correlating rate hikes to slowing inflation due to everyone's daily needs of food, fuel, clothing. All that does is add to a normal family's monthly budget.....causing less money at the end of the month....recession anyone.
Ex... you have an administration who has threatened to destroy your industry kinda makes it hard to invest in any infrastructure of that industry (oil) results high energy prices.
Some are threatening a tax on the existence of cattle (greenhouse gases) food shortages anyone.
Vilsack's proposed 30% of land taken out of production by 2030 food production and supply will be limited that causes food scarcity and inflation that interest rates have zero affect on.
