VT | I think what happened there has nothing to do with questions of "can organic feed the world?" A country suffering a cratering of their cirtical tourism industry due to Covid travel bans attempts to save dwindling foreign currency reserves by banning the purchase of imported fertilizer. Then they call it "organic" to cover for governmental malfeasance. There's an article in the Economist this week basically explaining it.
Not to mention that just *not* fertilizing is not exactly organic agriculture.
