I use 2.5 tips with 3 GPA on glyphosate. The tips are angled back at about 45 degrees and the boom is about 20" above the ground. I run about 15-18 mph. It is a pickup mounted sprayer, and other than occasional issues with tire tracks, I am satisfied with the results. An in-line self cleaning filter eliminates most problems with nozzle plugging.
