I would bet that it's not the hinge. We had a similar problem with two different Deere batwings and it was the telescoping pto shafts binding up. Ours just needed to be oiled / greased so that they slid freely. We also had one that the wings wouldn't fold up all the way and it turned out the telescoping pto shafts were too long not allowing the wing to fold up. We removed the shafts and cut one to two inches from the end of the sliding pto shafts and it folded like it should. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
