I'm only guessing but a piece of paper seems like too small of a gap. (about .003-.004 is all) So use a few sheets! I like the business card idea but measuring one now, it is about .011-.012. I learned years ago that when setting a gap on a lawnmower engine, most heavy cardstock that was "tag type" material was supposed to be in the .015-.020 range and was a good thing to use. Can't say I ever measured any tag material though... So a business card would be a decent substitute. Lastly, when setting points, a matchbook cover is supposed to be .020 so that could be used in this application as well.

I'm guessing the correct gap should be in the .015-.02 range. I'm GUESSING!!

I know, I know.... what's a matchbook cover and who bothers with points these days!! Lol...
