A little quick math not knowing the specifics of your project… steepness stories high, ventilation products code requirements, etc, would come up with a cost of goods/ services between 9,500-10,500 using a moderate grade quality shingle. Add in applicable sales tax, permits, dump fees etc. If you’re looking for someone to do it at break even, that would be a number you could look at. If you were generous enough to acknowledge that your contractor might want to make a profit on the job, then that bid might be a little high, but not out of the hall park, with him knowing the specifics, and I making general assumptions.
