| Seconds. Typically mine will be locked in before the display is completely loaded and ready to roll.
Edit later: Open your Receiver page, pick the Sky Map page, third button down on the right. See what the correction age is. If it's consistantly more than a second or two, something is wrong on the dealer side and you probably need to have a chat with them.
If your dealer says this is normal, ask some neighbors who use it as well if they have similar experience.
