Ontario's middle east | Let’s think about it. Are they really capping the market or is that price just getting everything they need bought? If it’s really worth even a little bit more, someone would pay it and use it elsewhere. Things have changed quite a bit in the northeast. The loss of Fulton NY eplant has turned NY , corn surplus. That corn and a pile of low FN wheat has been sliding south. Weakest NY corn basis I’ve ever seen and it’s not even close. Inverted market has the elevator folks pounding the sell button rather than rolling short hedges forward. Mills still need coverage but with bird flu flaring up how much $8 corn does any mill really want? I’m pretty thankful they are feeding it and not me but hate on them if it makes you feel better | |
