So what will happen to theses acres that have no hope? Grazed off? Do you have to wait for crop insurance to zero them? What can you reseed to? What is the yield potential of the new crop? I’ve never grown winter wheat so have no idea of your predicament.

If insured you have to wait on them to make a decision. Could maybe leave strips for them to look at if you didn't want to wait.


Rain decides what you do. If you get rain fast enough, can grow milo during the summer. If not, it gets fallowed and try wheat again in the fall.


Don't know what insurance would think of grazing? Most of the ground is on the verge of blowing out, so cattle wouldn't help that. There is also deadline to get what's left killed, and be able to insure the next crop.
