Probably shouldn't switch until May 20-25 In some cases unless fertilizer is down just go to beans if it gets towards end of May, especially if it's muddy conditions.
Edit to add I think some companies have a short supply of short day maturities. Some varieties are no good and the substitute for those is sucking up some free inventory.
