"I get frustrated because their dividends suck...."

As the plant went from Northern Growers to POET I think the focus has changed from adding value to our corn, to adding to corporate value. Granted, there was a small dividend paid in December but I believe the last one previous to that was in the summer of 2018. This isn't intended to bash POET but my opinion is that they don't necessarily want a bunch of farmer shareholders, but wish to buy out ownership in the plant for themselves. If that is the case, what would further that agenda... pay out good dividends, or not pay out dividends? I see it similar to corporate John Deere... obviously the focus is no longer about who got them there, but extracting as much profit as possible so as to continue to buy more locations. Just the way it is. I'm thinking about cashing in and investing the money back into a different area ethanol plant that appears more committed to their original mission statement.
