In the "early" days I compared RTK to laser just to make sure and I was pleasantly surprised.  As time has gone on the RTK hardware keeps getting better, and thus the gap between systems also narrows.  In the end it comes down to software and how it handles the data.  That goes for both collecting the data and doing machine control with it.

I still giggle when I use Mark's software for machine control on complex designs.....and simple ones too for that matter.
