Subject: Re: planter monitor headaches

Genoa, Illinois
We got a new 3500 last year, and all I can say is that the next planter will be a different color, one headache after another. For the longest time when I was planting beans after I got above 3mph the monitor would quit reading every seed and nothing worked right. I planted 100 acres early this spring and had no idea what my actual population was. After I got the updated program again for the kpm 3 it worked ok, just ok. Maybe check around for a used monitor and see if that helps, has to be cheaper than $1500 worth of sensors. Also are you running a radar or a mag sensor? I have had alot more problems running the radar.
