had a tg285 that did the same thing. bought some 3m rubbing compound that worked well but after 2 years it was back to ugly and there wasnt enough paint left to make it shine at that point. We dealt it, dealer had a hard time selling it so they painted the hood. Did not help them sell it unfortunately.
