Ia) | When I custom fed in wooden crates years ago, we did just pail train them from the get go, but i always seemed to have a few per group (130hd) that would never accept the pail, and ended up bottle feeding them anyway. I’ve read in the past on some health benefits of using bottles vs. just buckets, and I’d like to try a few groups this way to see if I think I get a healthier calf by weaning time. I’m sure there will be guys that tell me otherwise, but I figure if I don’t invest a ton of $$ in the experiment, then I’m interested in trying it out. Thanks for your thoughts regardless.
