Subject: RE: Reverse type II diabetes

Pittsburg, Kansas

There are regular arguments about if diabetes is "reversed" or just put in "remission".

I am more of the opinion that by changing diet we can put it into remission. I also believe that if I went back to the way I was eating before, my diabetes would soon be just as bad as it was. So I understand why some take exception to the word "reversed".

At any rate, we know through proper diet type II diabetes progression into a continually worse disease can be prevented in most cases by eating a proper diet.

Changing diets is a huge deal for many people. It was for me. I could not have done it had I not just got sick of seeing how I was. Fortunately for me my wife was also over weight and we kind of both got sick of how we were at the same time. So we both decided together to do something about it. I think without her support and her without my support we would not have done nearly as well or would have fell off the wagon at some point.

Once we made the change the improvements in our health were important supporting evidence that helped us stay the course. Also the longer we stayed on the program, the easier it was to keep on it. The lure of some of the foods we loved to eat faded and they no longer were tempting.
