Southeast MN | Check your splitter frame attaching bolts.
I have a 4 + 5 splitter on a 5100 so this might not even apply to your machine. The drive chain for the splitter bar came off this season, and put it back on with no trouble thinking that was odd. As I walked around the machine to go again, I noticed the paint rubbed off where the splitter bar clamps/ bolts to the front frame and found one of the clamp bolts came out and let the splitter bar shift over enough to make the chain jump off. | |
