Since your done can you rig up a electric or hyd drive to run the planter and see if you can find a problem with the drive line?
I have a hyd drive motor that attaches to the hex shaft and allows me to fine tune the drive chains. It is amassing the problems that can be spotted and fixed as well as lubeing the chains before putting it away for the year.
