Strathcona, mn | Tracks are the ultimate. Steel tracks will out do rubber in The mud. Obviously harder to move steel tracks than rubber tracks. Floaters will go through a lot but not compare to tracks. A 2wd combine on tracks will go through more than a 4wd combine on floaters. I have rubber grip tracks but don’t use them unless “needed”. Otherwise I have 30.5x32 duals and rwa set up for each combine which will go through 90% of hell. Tracks definitely cost more in maintenance, rubber tires run cheaper. We road quite a ways 100 miles from one end to the other and thinking the next 4wd tractor will be back to tires. The delta track is nice but I don’t see enough gains to justify it over a tractor on tires when road travel is considered. | |
