I am not a huge JD guy but have done a lot of hay beside a 457 and 458. The 458 was a significant upgrade in baler. You did not mention if they were standard or premium models. If the 457 is a premium and the 458 is a standard I would look them over closely and probably lean toward the 457.
Standard vs. Premium in any color is a major consideration.
