Wheelersburg and Lancaster, Ohio | I’d keep the hammer strap, you may need it someday. Or may be able to sell the hammer strap for more than a receiver cost? Receiver hitches are fairly inexpensive.
I might be reading your post wrong. Do you want to make a hitch for your truck out of the hammer strap? Or buy a drawbar, add the hammer strap and modify to use on a receiver?
