If the implement has that big of a hitch it’s probably too heavy to be towed by a pickup.


Which is precisely why I would pull it with my Kenworth with a receiver hitch.

I am purely guessing, engineers don't care too much about the pull strength of that 5/8" pin, especially when the 2.5" receivers started being common on pickup trucks and they didn't upsize that pin. I think they are counting more on the bind between the ball mount and the receiver doing most of the work holding things together
