I run mine manually all the time. My piston tester worked one season. My out moisture and temp have to be shutoff to run it with no moisture tester. Easy to do if you need help. I run mine by the AMC temp. Mine is a vertical 1800. I dry 600-1000000 annually. Pretty simple if wet moisture is within a couple points.
