Inflation is a snowball rolling down a mountain, growing as it proceeds, dragging everything with it. Never in history has this much fiat be en printed in such a short period of time. The near term future is grim at best.


Honest Abe and his cohorts printed money to finance the Civil War at a percentage of increase that utterly dwarfs what has happened in the last couple years.

For the moment I am not overly concerned about monetary devaluation; I am convinced that most of the overall increase in prices is driven more by supply problems.
