Likely has something to do with being able to shut off cylinders to save gas.
Had a 2012 GM with the 5.3 which used to be a bullet proof engine eat the cam with less than 100k miles because of that AFM junk they put on so it isn’t just the Dodges
Yep seen several of those GM also with ruined cams. Metal bits end up all over and junks the engine.
