Subject: Preparing for winter

S.C. Wisconsin
When you retire you have to be resourceful to keep yourself fed without breaking the bank. Another year where they raised quite a few potatoes in our area. When the harvest people average 30 tons of potatoes per acre they don't worry about leaving a few behind for us poor peasants. So far I have picked up 11 buckets (5 gallon) of potatoes left in the fields. It's comforting to know a person should be able to make it through the winter without being malnourished. This collection is just 4 buckets.
