Mid Michigan | Snowmobiles use them pretty well and easily have anywhere from 35-200 horsepower and the units are small and fairly easy to service and rebuild. I would think that it wouldn't take a lot to make a reliable unit for a belt driven car but the powers that be must feel otherwise or they would probably be doing it. I'm guessing that they are thinking that a cvt transmission is going to be a relic in 20 years when everybody has a car with 4 electric motors rated at a million miles. | |
