No, you don't need the UT unlock to do that. AccuBoom from Raven CAN and serially connecting to an SCS console don't require any unlocks. You technically could buy the single product VRA unlock and variable rate your SCS450, but I'm guessing that's not something you'll need, as that would be kind of rare on a setup like what you're describing.
