That snap shot(most phones it is volume down and power button), is the live video displayed on my phone that I carry with me.

The old phone sitting on my desk that is sending the live video, is plugged in, power on, running the app, but the screen is off.
It still sends video, and pics up motion to send an alert. I just have it propped up against my computer tower. Nothing fancy.
In the app, you can turn the screen, so you can set or mount the phone any way that works for you.
It actually looks out of place, and very noticeable, so it is not a hidden camera. Like some of the other ones that you cannot see.
