Yes, Macdon built the 2360 for John Deere. Offered your choice of the typical Chrysler slant six or the less common JD 239 diesel, which I have. Runs on a fraction of the fuel that slant six will burn. The same swather was sold as the 885 Massey and the IH 6000. Quite different from the other JD models (2320) as I think they were Hesston built. 



The earlier 2320 John Deere swather (and it's diesel powered version 2420) were made by John Deere itself. I had a 2320 21 ft double swath. It was a good enough swather, I used the double swath occassionally but usually the 42 ft. swaths were too miuch for my combine. I also had a 2360 with the slant six Chrysler, that was thirsty.
