I have a 4420 with a straw chopper under drive kit. I have a sensor with one magnet I use when running beans on the right side as normal. On the left side I added a sensor and put two magnets on the bearing collar. When I switch to under drive for corn, I have a little extension harness I use to connect the left sensor to the combine wiring. That does work to keep the light off. If you still have your old straw chopper you could check to make sure both pulleys are the same diameter. If your old chopper had a smaller pulley you could switch them to get your speed back up.
If I am not mistaken this is true. The 4420 chopper ran a little bit faster than the plain 4400 I had. |
