I installed an early 4400 straw chopper on my later 4420 combine.
When I engage the separator and bring the machine up to full separation speed, the slow shaft speed light does not turn off.
I installed a new shaft speed sensor from the Deere dealer and verified the wiring was ok by grounding both wires that the go to the sensor to the frame.
I have roughly 1/8" to 3/16" between the magnet and the sensor and get 47ohms when I have the magnet right next to the sensor.
Is there something else I should check? Or do I need to add a second magnet to the straw chopper shaft?
Is there an easy way to check the slow shaft sensor box for that location?
