| W.C. IN, Ive been farming 50 yrs & this is the first time I've seen tar spot, we sprayed fungicide on everything with a grd rig@ 20gpa. All the hybrids I've looked at have, some a lot worse than other. What we've shelled has run ~ 35 hpa less than last year , field has been coc since 2012, is grid tiled. Normally my best yields come off this field, this year is 2nd poorest isince this field has been in corn. TW is low for us, 54-55#. Not just tar spot hurting us, 9" of rain inm7 days in early July didn't help then followed by very little rain until a couple weeks ago. Poor stalk quality & a strong wind storm hasn't helped. | |
