SE Nebraska | We need one bad. We are located west of Lincoln Neb., near Seward (Unfortunately all dryland). We have yet to have a single rain event this spring where we have gotten over .20". Dad has one of those electronic rain guages: since Jan. 1 it has recorded 2.3" of precip. Which puts us over 6" below normal for the year. We have mowed our lawn twice this spring and I don't think we will have to mow it again, as it is turning brown. The bad part is you don't have to go over 50 miles in any direction of us and they have gotten at least 1-2 nice rains in the last month or so. Overall, a very disappointing and depressing feeling. But I guess we keep praying and it will turn out like its supposed to, however that may be. I just really feel for those that have it even worse than us. | |
