Subject: RE: Ranch Auction in MaCttle Country Next Weekend

West central missouri
Dick bought Hereford bulls from my Dad for several years until his Longhorn phase. He would spend the night in the extra bed in the "boys room". He kept my brother and I up half the night telling stories. He said the original Anchor D ranch stretched from Texas to Kansas across the panhandle of Oklahoma. On that ranch they used 200 herd bulls. He said when they moved bulls there was no fence for a quarter mile around the gate afterward. His Dad, Eddie Rickenbacker, and Howard Hughes formed Trans Western Airline to get the mail contract from the army. That airline became the Trans World Airline we know today. Those that knew Dick could tell lots of stories.
