In one study where they looked at longevity, the handful of people that made it near the century mark all had high cholesterol levels.

Correlation is not the same as causation, but it kind of makes one scratch their head.

I believe there was a revelation on the front cover of Time magazine in June of 2014 which said that high cholesterol didn't cause heart disease, it was only a symptom of it. The article explains how the experts were wrong about fat for decades.

But there seems like there's been a lot of inertia in the healthcare system, because they are still prescribing anti-cholesterol drugs.
