Correlation is not the same as causation, but it kind of makes one scratch their head.
I believe there was a revelation on the front cover of Time magazine in June of 2014 which said that high cholesterol didn't cause heart disease, it was only a symptom of it. The article explains how the experts were wrong about fat for decades.
But there seems like there's been a lot of inertia in the healthcare system, because they are still prescribing anti-cholesterol drugs.
