In our area, “lime” is dry and is spread by a 10 wheeler truck with auger booms. The trucks can’t go in some of my steeper fields, and I’m wondering about buying a damp lime spreader and spreading some of my own. Does the damp lime work as fast as dry? I would guess it’s not ground quite as fine?
