I would never run a split planter. To get the moisture the same would be about impossible. Go all or nothing. Seed is more money little less yield more agronomic issue. But cows will milk more. Our nutritionist will say you need to be on the higher side of production to make it pay. But you need to feed it heavy. We are over 60lbs as fed.
